Etsy Q & A - do you have a question you'd like to ask?

I thought I might try running a series of posts covering quick questions about etsy and selling/promoting online that readers have in the hope that maybe others might find the answers useful too.

Do you have a quick question you haven't been able to find the answer for? Please feel free to leave your question in the comments of this blog post- let me know your etsy shop or website link as well if you'd like me to include it in the blog post.

If you've got a tricky question that you need one-on-one help with that you don't feel comfortable posting here, you can contact one of the mentors on the Sellers Assisting Sellers team- there's a list by area of expertise here (psst- if you're an experienced seller and would like to become a mentor for the team, please read the info here and get in touch).

  1. When it comes to Etsy and twitter,

How do you turn views into sales?

When posting tweets about items in my etsy shop what is the best way to write them without sounding like a generic sales pitch?

    Thanks so Much

  2. I do have a question, and I'd love to be featured! But first off, thank you for your generous help to other sellers. We really appreciate it. And I love the clean lines of your blog, which is so easy to navigate. OK, Now my question: i thought that having an item featured on the front page of Etsy was the path to fame and fortune, but when it happened, I only got a one day blip in visits, but no increase in sales at all. Basically, I've been doing the whole schtick--promoting, facebook, blog, improving my photographs, joining teams, commenting on forums, and I love it all, and it's made Etsy so much fun, yes, but..... still no sales to speak of. Am I doing something wrong? help! thank you, Karen of Paper Demon Jewelry http://paperdemonjewelry.etsy.com

  3. I feel like i have reached a plateau. I use twitter and when i first started I was receiving new followers, getting many views on items and making sales.

And right now things are a little slow.

What is the best way to reach more people and get people to see what i have or broaden my twitter market?

    Thank You!
